Hunting on the lintel of horse mackerel in the Atlantic ocean
Christopher Swann – professional diver, photographer and writer from Britain. Having started in the distant 1965, Christopher and to this day never ceases to surprise and delight fans of his work from around the world. Today we present to your attention a series of incredible photos taken at the coast of the Azores in the Atlantic ocean.
The photographer managed to capture mnogumina frenzied battle for life – violent hunting of dolphins, sharks and Mediterranean petrels on a huge shoal of the blue Jack mackerel. In the photo we see thousands of fish gather in huge shimmering ball, about 9 meters in diameter, in a vain attempt to maintain their fragile life. Hungry underwater predators ruthlessly hit a flock of helpless fish. Trying to escape, mackerel rises up to the surface of the water. However, here they were waiting for another danger – Mediterranean petrels, wishing to receive the part of production.
Having no other alternative, Colonia blue Jack mackerel forced meekly wait until predators will be filled and leave. This is the everyday drama of life…
